Pilot Program

A High School Alcohol Diversion Program, based on a Campus Drug Court model. The program will offer students with alcohol violations an alternative to being removed from their home schools and placed at alternative schools. The program will provide campus-based screening, assessment, intervention, and – if necessary – referral to residential treatment.

Keller ISD in Northeast Tarrant County has agreed to implement the pilot program, "Stay on TRAC," in September 2009. Agencies providing services for the pilot program are All Church Home for Children, Lena Pope Home, MHMR Addictions-Tarrant Youth Recovery Campus, Santa Fe Youth Services and Tarrant County Challenge. The TCU Institute of Behavior Research will be working with the pilot to evaluate its outcomes and effectiveness.
