As a part of its strategic plan, Mental Health Connection of Tarrant County has been working to build a local base of research in mental health care and mental health treatments. Learning Communities have reviewed existing research and implemented pilot programs that are being evaluated carefully. Wraparound for adolescents in Tarrant County was extensively evaluated under Community Solutions, and is now undergoing evaluation for Hand in Hand.

The movement towards research and evaluation has grown sharply. Today, you seldom hear a new Mental Health Connection project being discussed without hearing the question, "How will we evaluate it?"
